Pastor Carl Gallups

We’re joined by Pastor Carl Gallups today as we try to look at today’s news from a biblical perspective, and try to see how all that is happening around us fits into God’s plan for the world. His latest book is Gods of Ground Zero.

God created men and women equal but uniquely different.  In His master plan, men are to be strong and loving leaders and wives are to respectfully submit to their husband’s leadership.  The Christian church in America needs real godly men, but at the time when they are needed most many are confused about what it means to be a true man of God.  The world and its institutions that hate God have successfully minimized and redefined manhood, reducing many men to confused, quivering bowls of jelly instead of principled, strong leaders for the church and their families.  And some believe that church leadership is also responsible for accommodating this feminizing of Christian men because they are not teaching us what it means to be Godly leaders of wives, families, and communities.

Pastor Carl Gallups joins us to discuss how society’s emasculation of men is infecting American Christianity, leading to dire consequences.

For God is not a God of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints. 34 The women are to keep silent in the churches; for they are not permitted to speak, but are to subject themselves, just as the Law also says. 35 If they desire to learn anything, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is improper for a woman to speak in church. 36 Was it from you that the word of God first went forth? Or has it come to you only? 1 Corinthians 14:33-36

Pennsylvania Couple Fined for Using Farm for Bible Study, Prayer Groups

A couple in Pennsylvania has been served a cease-and-desist order for using their 32-acre farm for private prayer groups. Scott and Terri Fetterolf received the order after the Borough of Sewickley Heights claimed the farm “was being used improperly as a place of worship, a place of assembly and as a commercial venue and ‘special studio or school.’” The borough is charging $500 for each permit if the couple wants to continue hosting activities at their farm.
