TODAY’S GUEST – Pastor Alvin Dupree of Family First Ministries, is a retired 20-year combat Marine and also the First African American elected to the Appleton, Wisconsin area school board. He made it clear when first elected, that first and foremost, he is a man of God. Pastor Dupree did a combat tour in Afghanistan and now he is fighting systematic bullying within the school district as detailed in his brand new book, Standing Up To The Systematic Bully.

Pastor Dupree came under attack for publicly stating at a graduation ceremony that his source of strength is Jesus Christ. He also spearheaded the movement to shut down one of the most abusive systems in the Appleton Area School District: “Truancy court,” a system which did more harm than good to countless children who struggled with mental health issues, poverty, and other underlying problems which were not addressed prior to locking them up. Alvin and his wife, Shantel, have four children and live in Appleton, Wisconsin.

Proverbs 31:8 declares, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. Ensure justice for those being crushed.”

In this book, you’ll learn much more than just information on this important issue. It can be used to raise awareness wherever you live because if your local school isn’t dealing with systematic bullying now, it will be. We need to stop all forms of bullying.

The stories of these young people may be hard to take in, but the investigation will be helpful to your understanding. The report includes testimony of actual law enforcement who witnessed youth being bullied by this system and objected to the school district’s approach.  This eye-opening book will help equip you to take action.

“I believe this book is a must-read, but it certainly not an easy read.” – Alvin Dupree
