TODAY’S GUEST is former transgender, Laura Perry, an author, speaker and former transgender hoping to encourage others to avoid believing the same lies she once did and making the same mistakes. In her painful past and “transition,” Laura admits she created a god in her own image.

She decided to eventually have the hormone treatments, surgeries and lived the lie she convinced herself was true. Laura legally changed her name and people once knew her as “Jake.” Now with First Stone Ministries, she’s been transformed by Christ. Laura never dreamed she would return to female – or to God.

Her book, Transgender to Transformed, is the story of Laura’s “transition” as she changed her name, lifestyle, and had surgeries to live as transgender (“Jake”) for nearly nine years before being radically set free by Jesus Christ.

We discuss cultural influences the LGBT uses to reach children (education, social media, & entertainment), and what led Laura to “transition” to a what she thought would be a man. She shares practical advice on how Christian parents can respond when a child says they are homosexual, lesbian, or the opposite sex.
