As we enter the second day of what we call our “Q-Drive,” we take a step back from the routine of ministry work to reflect why we do what we do here at Stand Up For The Truth. Our purpose here is to point people to the Word of God as the truth, in spite of all that Christians hear to the contrary.
We realize that our time is very short. The Bible speaks of our lives as a vapor, or quickly fading grass. We have an enemy who knows this as well, and he has been stepping up his game to try to take our feet off of that narrow path Jesus speaks of.
Next month we’ll be celebrating two years on the air, and that time has gone by quickly! We want our listeners to be a part of this ministry, to help strengthen one another with the truth of His Son, Jesus. And that means using our discernment to understand the times we are in and to support our churches and our leaders.
Coincidentally, our program director at Q90FM Radio selected this verse for today’s show:
There shall not be found among you anyone who… uses divination, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who casts a spell, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. — Deuteronomy 18:10-11
Perhaps that verse is no coincidence at all, being Halloween and also Reformation Day. On our program today we talked about those two celebrations, as well as several other news stories. (See related articles.) Blessing this conversation today are Coy Sawyer from our sister station 89Q, and Paul Tittl, Wisconsin Assembly seat hopeful.
Please consider financially supporting Stand Up For The Truth, as we provide resources and share the Gospel around the globe, 5 days a week. Thank you for your prayers and for standing up. We couldn’t do what we do without you!
