Matthew 24:10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other.
1 Timothy 4:1  The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.

ProgressoThere are a lot of changes happening within Christianity, and we’re seeing some things happening to the visible church that are concerning to a growing number of people who are realizing that perhaps this “great falling away” Jesus spoke of is actually happening, and that we are now in the age of increased deception. And while the overwhelming evidence of apostasy is happening all around us, we know that we have a Savior who loves us to the point of death – not because we are worthy or great, but because we are broken sinners desperately in need of forgiveness and inner peace that only comes through the cross of Christ.  Is that message being communicated to followers of Jesus?  Or do we see people old and young turning away from truth in droves because of compromise and embrace doctrines of demons?

For as much as we talk about persecution from a world that hates those of us who proclaim Christ, there is one who hates us more. We have an enemy on the prowl, and as watchmen and women, you and I have huge targets on our backs as we try to help our friends and family navigate these confusing times.  And our children. If we don’t ground them in the doctrine of truth, they will fall away with the rest of the world.

Later in the program, we’re talking about living out our faith at home so that our young people can glean that wisdom that comes from dwelling in the truth of His Word. Jeff Strommen, director of HopeNet 360 and HopeNet Radio joins us.
