Screen Shot 2014-10-16 at 8.25.33 AMToday on the program, we’re covering Mark Driscoll’s reasons for his sudden resignation from Mars Hill Church (citing his family’s safety), and there is a new twist in the Houston case: Bully pulpit: Houston subpoenas pastors’ sermons, then backs off amidst outcry.

Up first, we’ll meet an Evolutionary Biologist – formerly a “hardcore anti-christian science teacher totally sold out to Darwinian Evolution.” Today, Dr. J. Richard Oliver shares the Good News as he nears age 70.  Rick is currently the CEO and founder of Confound the Wise Ministries, a unique Creation based Ministry dedicated to spreading the unerring Word of God through science education.

He began his ministry in 2008 after stepping down from his position as superintendent of the Mount Hermon Outdoor Science School which he founded. He designed and developed a science curriculum based on the California state science framework for middle school students (grades 5-8). The Creation centered experiential learning based curriculum not only allowed students to become more knowledgeable about their environment, but developed an appreciation, respect and responsibility for it as well.
