Today we look at two important, yet often misunderstood doctrines in the Bible: Suffering and Prayer.

No one really wants to suffer.  We would all prefer a life of comfort.  But the Bible warns us that suffering is an important part of the Christian life–and that when it happens we should rejoice!   Tough teaching indeed.

And what exactly is “prayer”?  Is it simply asking God for favor in our lives and the lives of others?  Or is there much more to it according to the Bible?  And how should we pray?  With bold confidence or tremendous humility?  What is the role of faith in our prayers?  Is that faith a belief that God will do whatever we ask?  Or a faith that we will trust God no matter the answer to our requests?

Joining us on air to discuss suffering and prayer is Elijah Abraham who travels around the world preaching the gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ alone.  Elijah will also be joining us for our Watchman Conference on May 1st and 2nd.

Once a Muslim, Elijah Abraham is now a born-again Christian and the founder and executive director of Living Oasis Ministries, reaching Muslims with the Gospel.
