Thursday on air we discuss the controversy over Indiana’s new Religious Freedom Law. rather than debate the particulars of a law in progress, we ask you to weigh in on several questions, including:
Do you think these laws are necessary?
Should there be limitations to the enforcement of Religious Freedom Laws regarding discrimination base on race, creed or sexual orientation?
What are the upsides and potential downsides to these laws for Christians?
Can you see unforeseen circumstances coming from these laws that would harm Christians?
Should religious Freedom Laws apply to all religions regardless of their beliefs and convictions?
Please post your comments and questions and we will read them on air tomorrow.
When we go back and read the Bible account of Sodom and Gomorrah, we see the selfish demands…yes, demands. They were even offered an ungodly choice instead of forcing themselves on the two strangers and they demanded to have it their way. Screaming, grasping, trying to force their way on people who only wanted to live for God and please him. There is no reasoning with these people and there is no compromise they will be happy with. They want it their way or they will punish us. They want to force us to watch their filth via Gay Pride Parades. Imagine if you will, if straight people dressed like that and simulated sex acts in a parade. We would go to jail! Yet these folks, via the hate crimes bill that O signed, are America's first protected class of people. You can't touch them. They can do onto us, but we can do nothing to protect ourselves. They enjoy ruining lives of those who won't fall in line with their demands. Christian film maker, Chris Pinto, recently pegged them when he said they were using "Gay Sharia". Did he ever hit the nail on the head!
Someone mentioned there is an excluded middle, this is the politics of division. I see that there is at work in many places a 'tyrannical diversity' which protects everyone except Bible believing Christians. So nobody shows up in Northern India putting steak kabobs in school lunches but 'wink, wink' I wonder if that Christian baker will make a cake to celebrate our gay wedding? By the so called rules of diversity, at least the one applied to Christians with a belief in the Bible, Jewish caterers should serve and eat pork to promote good feelings, Muslims should chant down with Palestine, Catholic nuns should get pregnant and abort a few babies… Right so, you see how ridiculous this is, and the biggest question, why doesn't America see clearly that it needs to stop?
Craziness!! It all started in the garden…

We discriminate every day in many different ways. I chose to wear a green shirt today, therefore I discriminated against my red shirt. The issue is what is the source for our "discrimination"? Scripture we know is God breathed and reveals the will of the Creator, who is perfect and holy. When we use that as our basis, we can't go wrong. The world does not recognize the authority of Scripture and therefore will reject the premise altogether, labeling the Christian "hateful". I don't think this law will last long and it will probably propel the homosexual agenda even faster. In these times Christians need to be wise as serpents and gentle as doves, recognizing that God is sovereign and our redemption is drawing nearer by the day.
Here is a good analogy; the days of Rome. I read much about this and see many parallels to today. Christians had to make a choice; worship caesar as god or die (or other persecution). It's a simple choice and a true Christian can only worship the Lord, be loyal to Him and worship no one else, even upon pain of death. Did it matter what caesar's law said? Did it matter that it was them and not someone else who was dying? Would it make any difference if pagans held up signs accusing Christians of 'discriminating' against other gods/religions, etc.? Clearly, they were being discriminated against, regardless of how they dolled it up or what all the other arguments were saying. But for a true disciple, the choice is clear. The fork in the road is just ahead folks. Brace yourselves to remain loyal and faithful to Jesus no matter what.
Now whatever laws are enacted, the bottom line is as a Christian, I CANNOT comply with baking the cake. Even if a judge orders me to. Here's where it gets interesting, because you hit the fork in the road. On one side it reads: obey the laws, government, or go to jail, plaques with romans 13 in lights, etc. and on the other side: remain loyal to Jesus and God's word, suffer persecution for it if necessary to stand for the truth and be obedient and faithful as His servant. Sometimes it does come down to one or the other. Which one do you choose? Which one did the Lord tell us to pick? (answer: the 2nd one) Where in the Word does it say that it's okay to compromise to save ourselves? Or that we should obey man's law over God's? Or that it's cool to suffer persecution for Jesus in other parts of the world, but just not here, where we are? It's time to wake up. Be ready to stand firm for the Lord as it will only get worse in the days to come. Cont. below…
What I notice in all these cases is the scenario where there is a choice of two things and no middle ground. Take the case with the cake baking, and I will put myself in his shoes. If a person comes in and orders a cake, and I don't know what it's for, my conscience is clean. But if it is obviously for a gay wedding, saying 'congrats to Bob and Joe on wedding,' etc., then as a Christian I CANNOT engage in it because it violates my beliefs and I would engage contrary to them if I baked it. If I don't, the gay community claims that "I discriminate." If they make a lawsuit against me, they discriminate against me. It turns out to land on one or the other. There is no middle ground. Instead of just going to another baker, they come for my business, in an 'us or them' outcome. See? More continued below…
I think we are being controlled by Godless organizations who are funding this agenda to bring down true Christianity..But, we are living in the last of the last days and this is to be expected..
Unfortunately the church is a part of the deception and this would not and could not happen without the church's cooperation. Sin will abound more which is why we need to wake as many people up as possible regardless of how they receive us.. It's getting darker here on earth but the positive thinkers don't want to hear this they want to be comfortable in their sin..Lord convict me of my sin that I may be of use to you in these troubling, deceitful times, may I do everything with your love filling me for I never want to bring shame to your name. Be with us Holy Spirit as we do what the Word tells us to do. Preach the word; be instant in season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and doctrine. 2Tim 4vs2
