Caryl Matrisciana at the Prophecy Conference at Calvary Chapel Appleton last September.
An update on our friend, Caryl Matrisciana: I spoke with her a few nights ago, and she has encouraged me to share her latest newsletter released this morning to update everyone on her battle with cancer. I don’t want you to miss two words in that last sentence: She encouraged me. That’s the kind of daughter of God Caryl is and always has been.
In the darkest of trials, she is lifting up others, and pointing all of us to Christ, her Savior. Her eternal destiny is secure, and she knows this for certain. Please lift this beautiful woman in prayer. If you would like to support her financially (and yes, the medical bills are enormous), please follow the links to her ministry.
“April brings new updates on my health issues and grateful thanks to so many hundreds of you who’ve championed for me in prayer. I’ve been overwhelmed by the love and prayers of galore dozens and your best wishes in cards and emails – thank you.
I’m so appreciative to the Lord for your kind support and encouragement. You can’t imagine how rewarding it is to have so many hundreds of prayers worldwide being lifted up on my behalf to our Loving and Faithful Lord. I’m thrilled to tell you, as per your requests, that even though I can’t make any sense of my ill-health and its roller coaster ups and downs, my spirits are overjoyed in Jesus Christ and your companionship with me during my burdens!
When I thought all was going well in the strengthening of my immune system since the September 9th bike accident in Wisconsin, and after the news of my breast cancer on December 9th in California, since then I’ve been preparing for surgery with healthy eating, juicing, nutritional supplements ad infinitum and more! All towards the building up my immune system for the cancer surgery, but then suddenly a week before Easter I was rushed into hospital with pneumonia and 103 fever!
It was a surprising blow I must admit but I was so grateful to the Lord for bringing me into wonderful expert help in hospital for over a week’s stay with the the provision of a strong cancer team (which I didn’t have before admittance into hospital for pneumonia) – THAT was certainly good news. I was well nursed back to strength and allowed home with an oxygen machine for Easter with my family – THAT too was such a blessing! It has been strange connected to an oxygen pipe walking around my home, but a great comfort at night to know good oxygen is making my lungs well and strong while I sleep deeply!
The most recent pathology report now reveals I have cancer in both breasts and must have a double mastectomy as soon as possible, but before releasing me from hospital it was determined I must have a PETscan as a prerequisite to cancer surgery.
My PETscan was scheduled for this past Saturday. My son and I went early in the morning prepared for the procedure which we were well into for an hour (I’d drank the concoction needed to show up the insides in my body!!) only to be told we had to cease there and then as I was still on anti-antibiotics! Another delay as I finish my course of antibiotics for the pneumonia which should be over after another week or so, after which hopefully the cancer surgery?
Meanwhile, the blessings of the Word of God have filled me to overflowing during these health hiccups alongside your prayers and best wishes! Thank you my faithful friends for your love and encouragement. I’m most of all thrilled with the feedback from so many hundreds about the Wide is the Gate Series
, how it’s helped you in numerous ways, and how in particular Volume 3 has opened your eyes. Thank you for the encouragement of your faith in the Power of the Lord, His Word, His Prophecy and thank you for your co-labouring with me as you hand out the information to your friends, family and church members.
Our God is a Faithful God, the Lifter of our heads, a very present Help in our troubles and a Compassionate Father. May He continue to draw you closer to Him through whatever trials and sufferings He has for your best.
