First, for our international audience, please bear with us as we try to solve problems we are experiencing in our online streaming. You can always catch our podcasts posted later today.
More than 80% of the citizens of our nation call themselves “Christians”. But many of them profess beliefs directly contradicted by the Word of God. Others will never admit it, but their definition of “Christian” might be “someone who believes exactly what I believe and does exactly what I do”–you know, a party of one.
Does the Word of God give us clear teaching on what a true Christian is? We explore that question this morning and look at the impact that confusion about Christianity has brought to our youth. We are joined by Jeff Strommen of HopeNet 360.
We will also talk with William Murray of the Religious Freedom Coalition, discussing the rise of ISIS and the persecution of Christians throughout the world. We’ll also discussing growing discrimination against Christians in America.

And have we:
Repented and been born again by the Holy Spirit
Knelt at the cross and received forgiveness by His atonement
Know that through Jesus is the only way to be saved… no other 'way' be it religion, apostate church ritual, etc. or some 'good work'
Committed yourself to Him in full surrender
Know that Jesus IS God the Son (Trinity)
There are always details that one can mention but we must realize the basic gospel of salvation so that we can rightly define a Christian. The problem is many have lost sight of the gospel! If you haven't turned to Jesus ALONE for your salvation, you are not saved. It's not by being born into a church, being a member of a church, going through a ritual at church, or Jesus plus something at church, or warming up to Christianity. You must repent before His cross and receive Jesus as Lord and Savior and ask Him to take control of your life, it's just between YOU and HIM. Learning more of the faith through reading the Word, etc. will follow.
1.Yes 2.yes 3.yes and yes 4.yes 5.no, thief on the cross 6.no 7.yes 8.yes and no
Wow! Isn't it amazing and perplexing that things have gotten so mixed up that we can't define a Christian? I still stand by the tried and true:
1. Is Jesus The Messiah?
2. Is Jesus The Son of God?
3. Was Jesus crucified, for you? And did He rise on the third day?
4. Is Jesus the only way to the Father?
5. Must you be baptized to be saved?
6. Must you do good works to be saved?
7. Must you repent of your sin?
8. Are you a sinner? A good person?
