Every one of us as Christians at times has felt overwhelmed or all alone. In the midst of trials and tribulations, we cry out to God to protect and rescue us. And we know He is faithful–but sometimes we wish he acted on our timeline instead of His.
King David’s life reflected the best of times and the worst of times. He was capable of many great things, yet he also lied, committed adultery, had one of his close friends murdered and disobeyed God. Yet God calls him “a man after God’s own heart”. The Psalms are a testimony to the many emotions David felt toward God, and they are a great place for us to go when we feel hurt, lost or abandoned.

It also keeps you from being tossed about by every wind of false doctrine blowing these days. It's our lifesaver in this sinking ship we call planet Earth.
