How Should Christians Respond to Syrian Refugee Crisis?

ISIS murderers continue their rampage in Iraq and Syria and boast that they will infiltrate the U.S. through the flood of refugees we are now considering accepting.  President Obama and most progressives are all for opening our arms and helping by allowing 10,000 of these refugees into our nation.  Conservatives think this is tantamount to giving a convicted felon the keys to your home.  Christians seem split on the issue on the same lines of progressive vs. conservative Christians.
This issue is raising a lot of good questions.  Do Christians have a responsibility to help others even if the people turn on us and want to kill us one day?  Why is the Obama Administration anxious to accept Muslim refugees but not so with Christian refugees?  And one of the more provocative questions we are hearing: Since the Obama Administration was responsible for the “Arab Spring” that led to radical Islam’s rise to power in the Middle East–and he now wants to open our arms to a flood of refugees–is this President actually in favor of “Islamicizing” our nation?
