President, Wisconsin Family Action & Wisconsin Family Council
Founded in 2006, Wisconsin Family Action exists to inform Wisconsin citizens about pro-family legislative and cultural issues, involve Wisconsin citizens in activities that strengthen the family, prepare Wisconsin citizens for elections, as the law provides, and advocate in the state legislature on cultural and legislative issues that affect the family. WFA advances Judeo-Christian principles and values in Wisconsin by strengthening, preserving, and promoting marriage, family, life and liberty.

Americans, including many Christians, get so wrapped up in social media, entertainment, and our busy lives that we seem oblivious to what is happening around us.  We are much more apt to know more about our favorite celebrity, movie, or sports team than we do the people and places written about in the Bible.
Ignore it if you will, but there is open war going on against Christian values in our nation; not exactly a newsflash. The Supreme Court’s decision to legalize homosexual “marriage” has rallied the radicals to try to destroy Christianity within our nation once and for all–and they are no longer trying to hide this fact.
We check in with Julaine Appling of Wisconsin Family Action today, and we also discuss some eye-opening news stories about the fight for freedom and truth within the country’s borders.

America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves. Abraham Lincoln

One article we cover today involves more shocking admissions from the left that they want Christians to literally abandon our beliefs. Far-left academics also want the federal government to sever its relationship with charitable groups that oppose abortion and special rights for homosexuals. The effort comes from law professors at Columbia University and their “Public Rights/Private Conscience Project.”

Tony Mangini, an attorney with the Center for Religious Expression, says the authors of the memo see no way to accommodate religious expression. “But the real alarming thing is that their logic isn’t really limited to the federal grant issue,” the attorney warns. “They don’t believe that there’s any room to accommodate religious beliefs in any aspect of society.”

“Their ultimate goal is the total abolition of all beliefs that don’t line up with liberal ideology,” he says. “They want to make absolutely sure that the only thing standing between charities and federal grants would be the organization’s beliefs.”

In all of these ridiculous but necessary battles it is vital for us to be reminded our struggle is not against flesh and blood. Remember who the real enemy is, and also understand who the victims are – those struggling in the web of sin. Sexually confused youth who have bought the lies and marketing of evil need to know the truth about the God who loves them and the Savior who died for them.
Founder of Answers in Genesis, Ken Ham stated:

Without the foundation of the absolute authority of God’s Word, America is adrift in a sea of moral relativism where man makes the rules and determines ‘truth.’ What people need is not accommodation of a sinful lifestyle. They need the gospel of Jesus Christ. They need to become a new creation.

Stay strong in the Lord, friends, and keep an eternal perspective!
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time... Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:3-5, 13
