I wrote my latest book, The Death of Christian Thought, to warn Christians how the dangerous lies of Humanism were infiltrating the hearts and minds of an increasing number of professing Christians, leading many away from God and toward eternal damnation. This morning in our second segment we cover a recent study that shows just how bad things are getting as the spiritual beliefs of younger people stray further and further away from the truth of God and His Word.
In our first segment we talk with Pastor Randy White about a very interesting book by Dave Breese titled Seven Men Who Rule the World from the Grave. We’ll look at seven men whose anti-Christian beliefs and philosophies continue to strongly influence people and society long after their deaths.
7 Men Who Rule The World From The Grave
Noted lecturer Dave Breese unearths the deadly influence on our society of seven key historical figures, a challenging critique that prepares you to recognize and defend yourself against philosophies that just won’t die.” ORDER HERE:
DAVE BREESE (1926-2002) was a graduate of Judson College and Northern Baptist Seminary and also served as president of Christian Destiny Ministries and World Prophetic Ministry.
Though their bodies lie cold and dormant, the grave cannot contain the influence these seven men have had on today’s world. They continue to rule because they have altered the thinking of society. They generated philosophies that have been ardently grasped by masses of people but are erroneous and antiscriptural. Today these ideas pervade our schools, businesses, homes, and even the church.
As we continue to unknowingly subscribe to their philosophies, we keep the grave open for Charles Darwin, Karl Marx, Julius Wellhausen, John Dewey, Sigmund Freud, John Maynard Keynes, and Soren Kierkegaard. Dave Breese warns us of the dangers of believing unreservedly the ideas of these seven men. He also reminds us of the only man whose life and words we can trust completely–Jesus Christ.
A Nation Falling Away
NEXT – in our second and third segments, we discuss the sobering reality of a nation rapidly falling away from God, and point to a brand new survey focusing on the beliefs of Millennials compared to other adults.
Millennials are becoming an increasingly important generation in American life. As the segment reaches its young adult years, it represents the nation’s primary birthing generation; a large wave of newcomers to the workforce; the dominant niche of newlyweds; and the fastest growing constituency of newly eligible or registered voters. As they form new households or establish themselves as consumers they are also becoming a highly desired target for marketers and active participants in the real estate market.
But Millennials also represent one of the most spiritually challenging generations to reach adulthood in the past century. While the Baby Boom generation broke the mold of faith traditions and preferences some 50 years ago, Millennials are raising a new set of challenges to Christianity and to a nation whose morals and values have long reflected biblical principles.
Barna also identified one of the most important implications of this situation. “Parents are one of the most important influences on the worldview of their children, and Millennials are entering their prime childbearing years. But because 24 of every 25 Millennials lack a biblical worldview today, the probability of them transmitting such to their children is extremely low. You cannot give what you don’t have. In other words, if today’s children are going to eventually embrace a biblical worldview, people with such a perspective must exert substantial influence on the nation’s children to supply what their parents are unable to give them. The United States goes to great lengths to assist in the economic welfare of millions of people. It appears that we now need those who possess a biblical worldview to step in and impact the spiritual well-being of our future adults as well.”
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. 18 Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:17-20
The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person. 14 For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil. Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
