But here we are.
By the way, if you have high blood pressure or are feeling stress or anxiety right now, please check out yesterday’s podcast where Jay Seegert and I emphasized and refocused on God’s Word, the truth and hope of Scripture as we discussed current events. You will be encouraged.
Today, however, we’re going to look at three articles that are triggering people across the world wide web. In Segment 3, we’ll touch on 40-year chart showing a dramatic increase in the number of news articles mentioning “white privilege” in the last decade. In Segment 2, we discuss an article I wrote this week about Joe Biden, Islam, and the public schools which was just published yesterday.
But first, yesterday I read a hard-hitting, thought-provoking article about what’s happening in America. Brace yourselves. We spend half the podcast on this, it’s that good.
DANIEL 2:20-23, Romans 5:1-6,
“Americans have lived through what is arguably the most consequential period of government malfeasance in U.S. history. Public officials’ overreaction to the novel coronavirus put American cities into a coma; those same officials’ passivity in the face of widespread rioting threatens to deliver the coup de grâce. Together, these back-to-back governmental failures will transform the American polity and cripple urban life for decades.”
Fox News senior meteorologist has found herself at the center of a political storm she never could have forecasted. In late March, Dean’s father-in-law died of the novel coronavirus. Her mother-in-law succumbed to the infection just two weeks later. They were living in a New York nursing home, where they passed away alone.
N.Y. Gov. Cuomo’s deadly order remained in effect for 46 days. During that window of time, at least 6,000 coronavirus-positive patients were placed into the facilities in question.
“Muslim American voices matter,” That’s what Joe Biden just said in a message to the Million Muslim Votes Summit last weekend. He also referred to Islam as a “great confessional faith.” Interesting.
The country’s largest Muslim-American political action committee took a cue from Bernie Sanders and endorsed Biden for president. But check out what he said at the very beginning of his speech: “I wish we taught more in our schools about the Islamic faith… It’s one of the great confessional faiths.”
