Sexual intimacy between a man and his wife are a great gift from God. This relationship is a human representation of the deep intimacy Jesus wants with His bride, the church. When a man and his wife are sexually intimate there is a deep physical, emotional and spiritual bonding that God blesses.
But as Satan often does, he takes something beautiful from God and twists it to deceive people. Today, rampant sexuality has led to destruction and disaster: abortion, broken marriages, divorce, and sexual brokenness and even gender confusion.
Pastor Mike Abendroth of No Compromise Radio joins Mike and David to discuss the beauty of biblical sexuality and the snare of sexual sin that has led to dramatic moral decline in our nation.Read More
Every time a well-known Christian renounces their faith, we need to remember that God never changes and His Word is still truth! Recently two more prominent believers fell away: Christian Author Joshua Harris, who wrote important books on sexual purity and dating for Christians, and a young leader of Hillsong Music, Marty Harris. Both announced they are no longer Christians. In our final segments we will look at closer at this pattern of growing apostasy within professing Christianity.
In our first segment, we are joined by Mike Levenhagen of Reclamation Resource Center. He joins us to discuss his journey out of homosexuality by God’s grace, and how we can minister to those suffering with any sinful sexual attraction as well as gender confusion.Read More
There is no doubt we live in a sexually-charged society. God has given us clear definitions and teachings about sexual relations and gender, but society has brought confusion, and many people – young and old – are suffering the consequences. Homosexuality is practically accepted and promoted and young people especially, are facing depression and emptiness because they have become confused about their God-given gender.
God’s Word gives us all the knowledge and instruction we need to correctly understand sexuality. It provides the answers to everyone’s questions but for some reason, with our culture rapidly deteriorating and even sincere Christians facing sexual challenges, some believe that the church has been generally silent.
Are pastors responding to sexual challenges within the church and society? And if not, why? Daniel Weiss of Brushfires Foundation joins us to share the findings from a comprehensive study about if and how pastors and churches are meeting the challenges of church members and society regarding sexual questions and confusion.Read More
Today we answer the questions and read the comments from you our listeners. We discuss the sexual abuse scandal in the Roman Catholic Church, the crisis at Willow Creek, and what does unity in the body of Christ really look like?
Here are the topics our listeners want to cover today:
Are you concerned about Hillsong and others that put out some decent music but have some very questionable theological statements and positions.
Where do you draw the line between worship and entertainment. Even Christian music and the church has been compromised lyrically. Is this a result of record labels in Nashville and also wanting to be like the world?
Why do most Catholics seem more loyal to that Church than they do the Word of God?
Is seems the sexual abuse scandal in the Catholic Church is already quite vast as is the cover-up by church leaders, but since over 80% of young abuse victims are boys, the systemic problem seems to be homosexuality. Because of this, the media will not report the whole truth so do you think there will be true repentance and change in the RCC?
My friend thinks you guys are dividing the church instead of uniting Christians over issues of morality and doctrine. I think you guys have said it is wrong to elevate unity as more important than doctrine and truth.
Thank you for the show about public school teaching evolution as fact and how to equip our children with truth, Scripture, and science that affirms Scripture.
What are issues to divide or break fellowship over (within the Christian church) and which are ones we can respectfully agree to disagree on?
When we question the faith of fellow believers, aren’t we judging them? Doesn’t the Bible tell us not to judge?
You can connect with us a couple ways: email your questions and comments to firstname.lastname@example.org; or text the key word “speak up” to 90100.Read More

Catholics are hurting over the priests sexually abusing children, and many are hurting. This may be an opportunity to reach them with the true gospel.
The Roman Catholic Church’s extensive history of abuse, coverup, and hypocrisy.
Does social media play into anorexia and bulimia?

There is a huge difference between “bashing the church” and confronting and exposing error.
Can you clarify Paul’s teaching in Romans 13 about submitting to governing authorities?
For those who say division is always wrong, how about the Reformation?
I’m a former Catholic and used to trust the church (institution) over God’s Word. Any advice on how to engage Catholics in discussions about Scripture and true doctrine?
We start with a basic truth: All humans are sinful and rebellious against God until the grace of God opens our eyes to our sin, leading us to confession, repentance and believing in Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord of our lives. If not for the grace of God, any one of us could be deceived into believing the lies we hear throughout our culture and even in the church. Many of us who have been enlightened and saved by faith will struggle with temptation and sin until the day we die.
Today we tackle the growing confusion regarding sex, gender, identity, and sin and what we can do to lead others to the truth of God and His Word. For twenty years, Mike Levenhagen of Reclamation Resource Center has been dedicated to speaking the truth in love to those not only imprisoned to homosexual or gender-related lies, but also to those who struggle with heterosexual lust and adultery. Check out the podcast and hear Mike’s testimony.Read More
Good morning Christians…it’s Friday! OK, apologies to our more seasoned listeners who know that is a knockoff of the late Paul Harvey’s Friday radio greeting. Why do so few liberals speak up against Islam?
And an angry letter from a (Christian?) listener who says to “judge ye not” but claims there is a special place in hell for Christian conservatives who call out the sin of homosexuality and lesbianism.
We love Fridays for several reasons. One of them is we get to hear from our listeners and discuss issues that are important to you. These are some of the topics you have asked about or commented on this week. We we will discuss as many as possible on air today.

It is difficult to pick up a newspaper or open the internet without seeing another example of how media, schools and businesses are falling all over each other to comply with the demands of the LGBTQ in order to be “gender inclusive.” And with the sudden exposure of sexual harassment charges against men in high positions, it is a safe bet that the LGBTQ will ride this wave to push its agenda of gender “fluidity” even further until we become so confused and dysfunctional as a society that not much will make sense anymore.
At the De Pere, Wisconsin City Council meeting last week, we shared our concerns about the non-discrimination (transgender rights) bill ultimately passed by the City, and it was sad to see young student after young student state their name and their “gender identity” such as “she/her”, or “him/his,” “fluid,” etc. The LGBTQ community, aided by their friends in the government and National Education Association, have so confused the minds of children that many of them are headed down the road of life believing the lies of man. Yet the beat goes on and gender dysphoria grows in the minds and hearts of our young people – tomorrow’s leaders in our nation, and that includes our churches.
Why are today’s young people so quick to embrace moral relativism? Joining us today is Alex Nitzberg who has studied the thought process of millennials and the radical LGBTQ movement in America.Read More
Most of us may think the transgender movement has been more of a recent development in American culture, but it goes way back to 1952 when the first alleged “sex change” was credited to a man named Christine Jorgensen. Remember, the “T” in LGBTQ has always been there, waiting in the wings as the groundwork was laid by same-sex marriage activists.
By 2015, the stage was set quite nicely for Bruce Jenner to catapult into a culture shaping icon by selling the public on his transition into Caitlyn. Transgender individuals had been quietly waiting for the right time culturally, politically, and socially, and the election of Barack Obama as president encouraged them, giving them the green light to deny God’s truth and come out in full force.
Sadly, we now live in a society that largely thinks moral absolutes and truth are so yesterday and unnecessary if they were ever relevant at all. But God never changes and He created the world including all human beings, either male or female, and this happens to be supported by biology, science, and most in the medical community.Read More
If you think the transgender movement could never happen locally, think again. A concerned Christian parent joins us in studio today and shares some of her heartbreaking story. She has been aware of the transgender agenda in her son’s public school since he first opened up to her two years ago about what is really happening in our local schools. This mother is reaching out in the hopes other Christian parents will get involved and help raise awareness.
We’ll call her Jenny. She called us a few weeks back to share some of the details of what her son has had to deal with and she courageously agreed to come in and share her alarming story with Stand Up for the Truth listeners. We’ll hear from Jenny about how the school administration and superintendent responded to her concerns. We’ll also be discussing school privacy policies leaving parents with few rights, and teenagers on school field trips and camping outings that include co-ed sleeping arrangements due to students who identify as transgender. All this in addition to students using whatever bathroom they wanted to use in the school itself.
Also, just what is “normal”? Well, that depends on who is in charge, doesn’t it? And these days it is becoming more and more apparent that the ones in charge have one thing in common: A hatred for God and His Word. If you do not get in line with their definition of “normal” you will be labeled a “hate group”, subject to ridicule and even violence. One Christian organization is fighting back, suing the Southern Poverty Law Center over their designation of so-called “hate groups.”Read More
As we saw in 2020, forces of darkness have been hard at work. The enemy – both human and demonic – coming against us hard. It is stunning, the speed with which our country, culture, freedoms, and very way of life have been attacked and dismantled!
