There has been a war against Christ for thousands of years, and a war on truth throughout the world today. We’re at the point gender roles are being counterfeited and reversed. There’s a war on men as we see from the “purposeful cultural confusion about what makes a he a he and a she a she” as today’s guest puts it.

We also know there’s a culture war going on in which chaos, ambiguity, and moral relativism reign. Remove God as Creator, remove Jesus as Lord and ignore the fact He was the original “liberator” of women – and here we are. The name and subtitle of Margaret Sanger‘s 1914 publication, The Woman Rebel says it all (No Gods No Masters).

As important as our differences and roles are in society, women are now seen as superior and perhaps, as gods. Men are depicted as servants,  idiots or as unnecessary on TV thanks in part to Hollywood. Angry liberal women (modern feminists) march through the streets of major cities in America promoting abortion, women’s rights, and “equality” for women.

Make no mistake: it’s not equal rights that they want. It’s special rights. Men and women are created by God in His image and are already equal, but different. This is not enough for some women, and we’re now seeing the battle within the Christian church today. Out in culture is one thing, but one of the questions David asks is how did we get to the point women are in positions of authority over men in so many churches around the country?

TODAY’S GUEST

Since the 1980s as a student of bible prophecy, Mary Danielsen has presented over 150 prophecy updates to the church. Her first radio program, “Behind the News” ran for 4 years on Christian radio, followed by “Two Minute Warnings” which can be heard around the country. She has taught numerous Women’s Bible studies, and has been on a worship team at Calvary Chapel for 22 years.

Mary produces a weekly newsletter, “Newzbytes”, which goes digitally around the world, and writes a series of tracts called “Contenders’ Series,” which outline and expose various aberrant teachings and winds of doctrine blowing through the professing church in these last days. Mary is a mother and grandmother; she and her husband, Tim, reside in Appleton, Wisconsin.

SCRIPTURES Referenced:

For the grace of God has appeared with salvation for all people, 12 instructing us to deny godlessness and worldly lusts and to live in a sensible, righteous, and godly way in the present age, 13 while we wait for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. 14 He gave Himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to cleanse for Himself a people for His own possession, eager to do good works. Titus 2:11-14

Genesis 2:18-25, Genesis 2:1617, Genesis 3:1-6, Ephesians 5:22-31

The law, then, was our guardian until Christ, so that we could be justified by faith. 25 But since that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian, 26 for you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ like a garment. 28 There is no Jew or Greek, slave or free, male or female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, heirs according to the promise. Galatians 3:24-29

Also, the women are to dress themselves in modest clothing, with decency and good sense, not with elaborate hairstyles, gold, pearls, or expensive apparel, 10 but with good works, as is proper for women who affirm that they worship God. 11 A woman should learn in silence with full submission. 12 I do not allow a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; instead, she is to be silent. 13 For Adam was created first, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and transgressed. 15 But she will be saved through childbearing, if she continues in faith, love, and holiness, with good judgment. 1 Timothy 2:9-15

Home Before Dark by Mary Danielsen (Available on Amazon)

Christians especially should be very familiar with the biblical admonition to live our lives as pilgrims and strangers on the earth, keeping our ultimate heavenly destination on the front burner of our minds. The broad path of the interstate will never satisfy the spiritually thirsty and those looking for the City of God. As we travel, the way well lighted by His Word and grace, let us exhort one another all the more.

Home Before Dark is a collection of observations and encouragements from the journey, written to illuminate the path and help the believer to keep their priorities straight in light of the rapidly falling darkness, indicating the soon return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
