Burning indignation should seize us because of the wicked! Why? Because we’re better than them? No. because evil affects our culture, our families, and the church. I’ve said this many times and in many ways: We must stand against evil. We must share the gospel and pray for our enemies that God would have mercy on their souls.
But we must show them no mercy politically. Their worldview is anti-Christ and their end is destruction. They want a very dark and different country without the church and Christian influence. They are haters of good, men of depraved mind. They did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer and they hate Him and those who represent Him.
Psalm 117 – Praise the Lord, all nations; Laud Him, all peoples! 2 For His lovingkindness is great toward us, And the truth of the Lord is everlasting. Praise the Lord!
John 17 – “This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. …17 Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth. 18 As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.”
2 Tim. 3:1 – But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come… Men will be… Vs. 3 – “haters of good,” Vs 4 – “lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,” Vs 8 – “these men also oppose the truth, men of depraved mind,”
Romans 1 – “And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, [and] …evil; …they are 30 …haters of God…
David Fiorazo’s notes for today’s podcast. Opening thoughts/partial transcript:
They need to repent and be saved, but many of them won’t. These are the kinds of people in the world today and in America, this describes some of the people we’re dealing with today. So how should true, Bible-believing, Jesus following Christians respond to blatant lawlessness and all that’s coming against us?
First we better have a strong foundation on the truth of God’s Word.
Psalm 119:50-53 – This is my comfort in my affliction, That Your word has revived me. 51 The arrogant utterly deride me,
Yet I do not turn aside from Your law. 52 I have remembered Your ordinances from of old, O Lord, And comfort myself.
53 Burning indignation has seized me because of the wicked who forsake Your law.
Wow. The arrogant were coming against David and he had a hatred for wickedness. We better be confronting and exposing evil while promoting truth and righteousness. And we can’t do this without speaking up and seeking God’s approval above man’s.
“Christians should speak out on moral issues – not because they feel “offended” or because their “cherished beliefs” are threatened, but because they have compassion for those who are trapped by destructive ideas.” Nancy Pearcey
“We must reject the thought that evangelism is to be separated from the importance of standing against evil. We weren’t saved just to escape this world and go to Heaven. Transformed people transform the culture while standing boldly against evil.” James Robison
We must share the only hope for people, the good news of Jesus Christ, as we speak the truth in love. Do people know you’re a Christian? This is not the hour for weak witnesses and silent believers. This is war! The enemy is throwing everything at God’s people and in our context, at America with the goal of taking down this great republic. The devil never gives ground back that he has already taken. We have to take it back!
God haters run the public education system in America, they control the media, the entertainment industry, corporations and the courts, an entire political party, and they want to control the church as well! It’s time to wake up and engage. Defend truth and hold the line. There is much ground to cover and we have a relentless foe bent on evil coming against everything that is good, godly, holy, and true.
Open war is upon you whether you would risk it or not. We are not unaware of the enemy’s schemes and God has given us everything we need to stand and to fight. So my question today is: what are you doing?
