TODAY’S GUEST: Eric Jackson, 35, is a Pastor and author of the book, Feral Christian. Eric is currently the Lead Pastor of Foundation Church in Minocqua, WI.

Today, we evaluate how the Christian church in America is doing as many are dealing with anxiety, fear or feeling overwhelmed due to the high levels of stress this year has brought. We need some encouragement today more than ever.

More of us are coming to terms with the fact we may never get back to “normal” again. How should we respond to this and how can we be better at understanding the times?

According to Webster’s dictionary, normal is defined as: “conforming to a type, standard, or regular pattern : characterized by that which is considered usual, typical, or routine.”

“My heart is definitely to encourage Christians to not hope for things to go back to normal, but rather evaluate what we think normal should have been for a long time. I believe this is all happening for us, not to us. There is a refinement going on in the body of Christ that is painful, but it is going to produce holiness!” Eric Jackson
