TODAY’S GUEST is Jay Seegert, author and international speaker; and is the managing director of the Starting Point Project.

We often hear people say, “science says this or science says that,” especially related to COVID or Climate Change. We’re also told, “The science is settled. The time for debate is over.”  Then, if we doubt, hesitate, resist or dare to ask questions, we are labeled “science deniers” and accused of not caring about the lives of others.

As Christians, how are we to respond?  Can you really know the truth in any particular situation?  If not, how can you make an informed decision?  In today’s show, we will discuss the myth of “settled science” and give you some practical advice regarding this often-intimating subject.

O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called… 1 Timothy 6:20

Most people don’t realize it, but most major areas of science today were founded by Bible-believing Christians! Science owes its origins to Christianity.  It was birthed out of the Christian worldview.  It was a given that God existed and that He created the universe (i.e., Scripture clearly teaches this, and it also seemed intuitive and logical). Since God is a God of order, it was expected there would be order in His created world, so various men set out to study nature and the universe.
