Today, we tackle a difficult, but necessary topic with today’s special guests: Daniel Weiss, President of Brushfires Foundation, and Josh Glaser, Executive Director of Regeneration, both leaders of Christian ministries helping parents and pastors foster sexual integrity, healing, and wholeness. They are co authors of the new book,  Treading Boldly through a Pornographic World: A Field Guide for Parents, where they offer practical and spiritual guidance for parents seeking to help their teens navigate this pornographic digital landscape.

Daniel Weiss is a writer, speaker, and visionary — passionate about tackling tough questions about sexual identity with depth and compassion. He has spent more than a decade helping church and community leaders, educators and policy makers address complex situations surrounding sexual brokenness with hope and life-giving truth. Daniel was a senior analyst for media and sexuality and social issues manager with Focus on the Family for nine years, and was also featured in the documentary, The Heart of the Matter: Finding Light in the Darkness of Pornography Addiction.

Josh Glaser is the Executive Director of Regeneration, a Christ-centered ministry that helps men, women, and families to learn and live God’s good, holy, and beautiful design for sexuality. Josh is the author of Rescue, a year-round discipleship program for men seeking a deeper intimacy with Jesus as their Source of freedom from sexual sin.

“Pornography impacts every family, but many parents don’t know what to do. Treading Boldly Through a Pornographic World uses solid research, biblical truth, and Christ-like compassion to help parents guide their kids through one of the greatest threats of this age.” Josh McDowell

Treading Boldly through a Pornographic World: A Field Guide for Parents

Parents today are the first generation to raise kids in a digitally connected, porn-saturated world. Porn can be accessed in locker rooms, cafeterias, classrooms, and bedrooms—anywhere kids have access to digital devices. Worse yet, pornography that was once considered fringe has become mainstream. All this is misshaping children’s understanding of sexuality, stunting their capacity to process emotions, and crippling their ability to form long-term relationships. The authors combine the latest research with personal and professional experience to guide families into the goodness for which God created us all, and outline the steps necessary for parents to move beyond merely surviving pornography’s challenges.
