Our Identity as Disciples of Jesus

In Colossians 3:3-4 Paul says “For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.  When Christ, who is your life appears, then you will appear with him in glory”.   Paul goes on to say we should put to death what is earthly in us because of our new identity, and put on the characteristics of Christ.  In his writings we see what it means to truly be a disciple of Jesus Christ, uniquely set apart from the beliefs, actions and desires of this world.
