Truth is becoming more and more debated, offensive, and rejected in the world today. That doesn’t mean God does not exist, nor does it mean truth has changed. But without fixed moral absolutes and the innerrant Word of the one true God, we’d be in a lot of trouble. The Apostle Paul writes to to the Galatians,

“So have I become your enemy by telling you the truth?” — Gal. 4:16

Some Christians prefer to remain on the sidelines rather than speak truth to others or address the many controversial issues being debated these days. But if we, the church, don’t preach the full gospel, confront apostasy and expose evil, many people will remain confused and lost, eternally.

Don Veinot is president of Midwest Christian Outreach, whose mission is to give clear answers, and a solid defense of the orthodox biblical faith, to all types of unbelievers including those within various cults. In addition to being missionaries to these groups it is also our purpose to train and equip those who have placed their trust in Jesus Christ, His death, burial and physical resurrection for their salvation.

Don and his wife, Joy, formed Midwest Christian Outreach in April 1995. MCO Facebook Page here.

SEGMENT 1 – Essentials of the Faith:

The nature of God, the nature of Man, the nature of Sin, the Resurrection, Salvation, and the Inspiration & Inerrancy of the Scriptures.

Up! Up! Flee from the land of the north, declares the Lord. For I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heavens, declares the Lord. Up! Escape to Zion, you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon. For thus said the Lord of hosts, after his glory sent me to the nations who plundered you, for he who touches you touches the apple of his eye: “Behold, I will shake my hand over them, and they shall become plunder for those who served them. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent me. 10 Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion, for behold, I come and I will dwell in your midst, declares the Lord. 11 And many nations shall join themselves to the Lord in that day, and shall be my people. And I will dwell in your midst, and you shall know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you. 12 And the Lord will inherit Judah as his portion in the holy land, and will again choose Jerusalem.” Zechariah 2:6-12

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, “Fear not, I am the first and the last, 18 and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades.  Revelation 1:8, 17-18

Question: “Does the Enneagram of Personality contradict the Bible?”

What is known as the “Enneagram of Personality” or the “Traditional Enneagram” is a complex system of understanding individuals that touts itself as the most dynamic and open of the various typologies and also offers itself as a path to liberation or self-actualization.

The Enneagram is a geometric symbol containing nine points and nine (or more) intersecting lines (the Greek word for “nine” was ennea). The symbol dates back to Pythagoras and was introduced to the West by George Gurdjieff in the 1900s. In the 1960s, Oscar Ichazo linked the symbol with nine different personality types.

More from GotQuestions: The Enneagram obviously contradicts the Bible. It “has a form of godliness but den[ies] its power” (2 Timothy 3:5). The Enneagram Institute is correct that we are spiritual beings and we are not living as we were meant to. But the solution is not to get in touch with our “true nature”; it is to cry out to God for salvation. We are sinners in need of God’s forgiveness (Romans 3:23; 6:23), which is made available by His grace through faith in Jesus (Ephesians 2:8–9). Those who are dead in sin (Ephesians 2:1) cannot achieve a spiritual awakening on their own; they must receive the life of Christ—regardless of their personality type. In Christ we are born again and made new (2 Corinthians 5:17). It is through His power at work in us that we become righteous (Philippians 1:6; 2 Corinthians 3:18). Our lives are meant to be lived for His glory.
