The U.S. spend billions of dollars every year on space exploration and the search for extraterrestrial life.  Hollywood produces and people watch film after film suggesting we are not alone in the universe.  There’s something fascinating about the unknown.  But scientists, a majority of whom are atheists, hoping to validate their theory of life on other planets, need only look to God’s Word.

Jay Seegert of the Starting Point Project is today’s guest, here to discuss our obsession with alien life, and how we answer skeptics who use this argument:  “If God created man then who created God?”

In our final segment, Mike and David look at backlash a Christian Church in Canada is receiving for exercising biblical church discipline on a member who has admitted she is a lesbian.

Are there Aliens on other planets?

The idea of aliens has captured the thoughts and imaginations of millions of people over the years. Many movies have been made depicting all sorts of scary-looking creatures inhabiting distant planets, occasionally visiting us here on Earth. What, ultimately, is driving this fascination? Primarily, it’s been the belief in evolution. There are two main lines of reasoning.

Church in Canada Nullifies Woman’s Membership Due to Her Unrepentant Lesbianism?

“It was brought to our attention that you have chosen to live in disobedience to the Scriptures, specifically disregarding the warning of 1 Corinthians 6:9, in spite of repeated efforts by other believers in your life, including other Calvary leadership and finally our pastoral staff,” the letter stated.

“Kim, we are exercising our responsibilities to follow the biblical instructions toward the goal of your repentance and full restoration to your walk with Christ and His Church fellowship (1 Corinthians 5:4-5),” it added. “It is a very serious matter to remove a member for discipline as you will note in the 1 Corinthians 5:5 text, and our hearts are broken over it.”

“We pray that your heart will respond to the conviction of the Holy Spirit that comes with our obedience to this Scripture, and that you will repent and be restored to your church family who love you deeply. Kim, please know that this was not entered into lightly and we pray for your full restoration,” it said, suggesting that the pastor would be open to speaking with her should she desire to do so.
