‘Where can I find a good church with uncompromising, biblical teaching?’ Many Christians in America are asking that question these days as we see a growing number of churches change with the times.  The Gospel of reconciliation has been replaced with consumerism and ‘your best life now’ theology. The power of the Holy Spirit is being replaced with emotional manipulation through loud music, presentations and programs, and churches that look more and more like the world are everywhere.

Many sincere believers have asked, “What happened to my church?” Some of the changes introduced into American Christianity have been so subtle that many people didn’t even notice them until one day, we suddenly felt like a stranger and foreigners in the very church we attended for years. Our citizenship is in Heaven, but come one.

Jan Markell of Olive Tree Views and Understanding the Times Radio joins us to talk about the Bride of Christ. There are growing concerns about what we see happening in many of our churches, and every one of us is to be a Watchman, not just pastors and ministry leaders.

But you, beloved, ought to remember the words that were spoken beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ, 18 that they were saying to you, “In the last time there will be mockers, following after their own ungodly lusts.” 19 These are the ones who cause divisions, worldly-minded, devoid of the Spirit. 20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting anxiously for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life. Jude 1:17-20

Do not be conformed to this world,[c]but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2

Segment 1 and 2 with Jan Markell: What Happened to My Church?

“Church issues are the most frequent inquiry I get here at Olive Tree Ministries. Other leaders tell me the same. What has happened in the last 30-40 years? Many people visit church after church only to walk away disheartened. Others are lifetime members of a church and have seen changes that left it unrecognizable — spiritually speaking. At first, members and attendees wonder if they are being a bit too judgmental, but the sad reality eventually sinks in that something has gone terribly wrong.”

CA Pastor Loses Job After Posting ‘Homosexuality Is Still a Sin’

“The ultimate purpose was to say that while the culture may change, the Bible does not,” Hoke stated. “The culture is now demanding that we call ‘good’ what the Bible calls evil.”

Sign of the Times? Pastor Forced Out for Speaking Truth

Pastor Hoke stated: “We believe that Jesus commands all Christians to let their light shine. We also believe that salvation is only for sinners. Jesus said he came to call sinners, not the righteous. If we give in to cultural demands to stop calling sin ‘sin,’ then we are robbing people of opportunity to hear the truth.”

But these days, truth is hate to those who hate the truth. The Left would have us stay inside the church and never come out, but Jesus told His followers to go proclaim the gospel. Sadly, many within the Christian faith have been desensitized and are professing believers are being duped into accommodating pop culture’s favorite sins.
